Christendom Review

The latest issue of The Christendom Review is online.

Millie Jones has her first publication: two of the lovely poems she submitted as part of her senior thesis, which won our first thesis award, last spring.

My review of John Gardner's On Moral Fiction is also in this issue.

Many other poems, some fiction, beautiful visual arts: please check it out!

  2. dear Beth Impson --

Might I use your combox to pass along praise to Millie Jones? -- whose poems have been described by William Luse as "showing great promise" -- I would say instead that her poems are not merely promises, but fully secure accomplishments, rewarding the "first glance" and magnetizing with each successive reading!

  3. Dylan, that is high praise and I'm delighted to hear it on Millie's behalf. I had the privilege of being her thesis advisor and watching these and other poems take shape. It was much more than a scholarly project for me as I was so often encouraged by her vision and deep faith. She is who the poems suggest she is, as well -- a young woman of vibrant faith who desires to live well for the Lord.
