"As kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies draw flame; / [ . . . ] Each mortal thing does one thing and the same: / Deals out that being indoors each one dwells; / Selves -- goes itself; 'myself' it speaks and spells, / Crying 'What I do is me; for that I came'." --Gerard Manley Hopkins

Another Beginning

Rebecca Anne made her appearance Wednesday night; all are well. She is, of course, adorable. She is the thirteenth grandchild and so very precious. Her big brother is perhaps a bit tired of sisters by now -- he has five (one older and the rest younger). But he will learn many valuable things about the female half of the species!

Welcome, Rebecca! You are deeply loved by many.

Congratulations! I haven't been on blogspot or "talked" with you in so long--it's great to hear what's going on in your life.

I'm praying that your school year will be wonderful.

Hi, Megan! Hope all is well with you, too. School looks like it will be fine this semester. I would, however, rather go visit Rebecca . . . ! :)

Huzzah for new grandchildren...and old ones, too, for that matter.

May one inquire as to which of your kids she belongs? The second son, I assume?

Thank you, thank you! Yes, she is the second son's. He is making sure that any of his siblings who underpopulate will not need to feel guilty about it! :) (Isn't it great that he and his wife love children so much?)
