"As kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies draw flame; / [ . . . ] Each mortal thing does one thing and the same: / Deals out that being indoors each one dwells; / Selves -- goes itself; 'myself' it speaks and spells, / Crying 'What I do is me; for that I came'." --Gerard Manley Hopkins

On Theory

All I have to say today is this: Never agree to write on a topic which you mostly know through theory.

God will not let you write from theory.

It's kinda like praying for patience.

Or asking for wisdom.

Or requesting to be hit in the head with a brick.

Uh oh. What if He turns theory into reality, as if the writing is a preparation of sorts for the REAL thing. Hmmmm..... I guess that could be good?

LuCindy, I laughed so hard when I read this that I startled my boys. Thanks!

Teri, He is certainly attempting to turn theory into life, but He hasn't given me the time to write about it yet. (The topic has to do, generally and simplistically speaking, with trusting Him for the use of our time . . .) But, hey, I've got 6 more days before the deadline . . .! :)
